USP <800>, the U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention’s new standard for handling hazardous drugs (HDs), is requiring significant capital investments for facility and equipment upgrades in healthcare facilities nationwide. The standard, which becomes effective December 2019, also requires detailed assessments of each HD that facilities handle, substantial workflow and work practice changes, and in-depth staff training.
Many healthcare facilities will be challenged to prepare for these changes by the deadline. But Innovatix is here to help. Drawing on our extensive experience supporting non-acute healthcare providers with USP <795> and <797> compliance, Innovatix has launched a flexible, fee-for-service program to help healthcare facilities nationwide successfully comply with the new USP <800> standard.
