Attention Home Infusion Members

Make Your Voice Heard on Capitol Hill!

Please join Innovatix and the National Home Infusion Association (NHIA) in advocating that Medicare provide a comprehensive home infusion benefit (as proposed in the Medicare Home Infusion Site of Care Act).

The Issue

• The current Medicare structure fully covers infusion therapy in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, hospital outpatient departments, and physician offices, but not in the most cost-effective, convenient and often most clinically appropriate setting- the patient’s home.
• The Medicare Home Infusion Site of Care Act would allow beneficiaries to continue to have access to the currently covered infusion drugs under Medicare Part B and D, but also provide a payment under Medicare Part B to fill the existing gaps in infusion-related services, equipment, and supplies that are required to safely administer the therapy.
• With national elections a few weeks away, we have a very limited opportunity to get the Medicare Home Infusion Site of Care Act across the finish line. The time is now, and we need your help!

Advocacy Hour

• This one-hour event includes a 30-minute preparatory webinar, followed by a 30-minute opportunity for members to take action.
• Innovatix and NHIA will provide members with all contact information for Congressional staff, talking points, and follow-up materials. All you have to do is lend your voice and an hour of your time!
• If you are unable to participate on September 12, you can still register to help advocate on this important issue.
