Innovatix Virtual Lobby Day
- On April 27, 2016
Calling all LTC Pharmacies:
Please join Innovatix in advocating for more transparent maximum allowable cost (MAC) pricing practices by pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs).
Innovatix is urging Congress to support the MAC Transparency Act (H.R. 244), which would codify pricing transparency reforms. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services issued a final rule that went into effect on January 1 requiring Part D plans and their PBMs to make drug reimbursement rates under MAC pricing standards available to contracted pharmacies.
Despite this requirement, we have heard countless examples of PBM noncompliance. We need your help to make this a priority healthcare issue with your elected officials in Washington!
Make your voice heard:
On Wednesday, May 11, Innovatix will hold a special “Virtual Lobby Day” on the MAC Transparency Act—a top legislative priority for our long-term care pharmacy members. It is essential for members to weigh in describing the impact of non-transparent pricing practices.
Innovatix will provide members advance materials, including the names and numbers of key staffers, talking points, and follow-up materials to equip participants with everything you need to contact your elected officials on May 11. We hope you will join us and participate in the Innovatix MAC Transparency Virtual Lobby Day!
Wednesday, May 11 2016
Please email Shara Siegel, Director, Government Affairs at firstname.lastname@example.org to register by Wednesday, May 4, or if you have any questions.
There is no cost to participate.
